Joe and Betty Foote spent the 22nd with Phil and Captain Cacho on the DISCOVERY, and Phil considered this couple friends, even before they arrived in Puerto Vallarta.  (Joe and Betty actually took the time to check out our new grandson's web page and agreed that Spudsky was the most adorable baby in North America, maybe South as well)

They hooked a huge Sailfish and as originally planned, they wanted to release it.  Well, Betty's sail was hooked in the eyeball and became tail wrapped in the fight.  Despite attempts at Billfish CPR, this poor fish was not releasable and became dinner for the captain and crew's families and everyone else that was wanting a piece of fresh fish. 

Betty and Joe also caught a beautiful Dorado and enjoyed it at the El Dorado Restaurant the next day.

Thanks Betty and Joe, you were a delight in correspondence and even more fun on the DISCOVERY.  We hope that you had a great vacation.
